Known for their creative suites of editing software and being a staple in many a creative professional’s workflow, Adobe have announced that it would be making waves with their first pieces of hardware, codenamed Project Mighty Smart Stylus & Napoleon Ruler. The devices, connecting to an iPad and iPhone over Bluetooth will act as a stylus and combined with the ruler, will be able to create curved and angled shapes in a way that would be difficult with any other third party stylus. So far, the devices have been demoed working with an unreleased app that is developed with a specific piece of hardware.

The design of the devices is very reminiscent to early brushed metal Apple product. The stylus has a single button and the ruler has markings with a series of shapes that can be switched to alter how the stylus draws. So far nothing solid has been released as they are still in development but this is a very interesting first step to the whole content creation and creative cloud that Adobe are banking on for their future suites.
