As mentioned previously, Alcatel One Touch is gearing up to release one more smartphone on top of four devices that the company have launched last week called Scribe HD. First shown at CES 2013, device is equipped with a 5-inch 720p IPS display that is protected by Dragontrail glass.
Internally, the Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD is powered by a Mediatek MT6589 chipset which feature a quad-core Cortex A7 CPU that runs at 1.2GHz and a PowerVR SGX 544 GPU. The chipset is paired with 1GB of RAM and 4GB internal storage, as well as the support for microSD card with storage of up to 32GB. Other than that, the Scribe HD is also equipped with dual-SIM capability, 8-megapixels rear camera and a 1.3-megapixels front-facing camera.
Interestingly, the smartphone also comes standard with a stylus and several pre-installed software that users might be able to take advantage with it. With that, it is not hard to see which type of customers that the device is aimed at.
The new Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD is scheduled to be released in our market later this month with a price tag of RM 1399. Furthermore, the Malaysian unit will be running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box.
