Love the HTC One’s sexy design and all the cool features it has on board, but don’t wish to pay over RM2,000 just for a smartphone? It looks like HTC is working on the HTC M4 (the One was named HTC M7), a mid-range Android smartphone that looks very much like the flagship HTC One, but packs a mid-range spec under its 4.3” hood.
From the image leaked on @evleaks, the HTC M4 looks almost identical to the One, with a sexy aluminum design and HTC’s New Sense interface with Blink Feed on board; even the speaker grill looks similar. The difference lies on the display, unlike its big brother that packs a Full HD quality, the M4 is rumored to come with a 4.3” 720p display. The LED flash on the M4 has also been relocated to the top of the lens.
Specs wise, the M4 is reported to pack a dual-core processor with only 16GB of internal storage on board and 2GB of RAM. The camera will also carry the 4MP UltraPixel technology like the One, and it will run on 1,700mAh battery that is as its design suggest, non-removal.
Expected to ship near the end of second quarter, the HTC M4 is rumored to come with LTE flavor and will run on Android 4.2 out of the box.
