If you’re going to get yourself the Samsung Galaxy S4 at launch, but are clumsy and drop your phone at least once every other day, you might want to reconsider again because it looks like Samsung is working on a rugged version of its flagship Android smartphone. Young Soo Kim, President of Samsung Gulf, recently told the Dubai press at the launch of the S4, that a tougher version would be coming in the near future.
Unfortunately, no further information have been revealed regarding the rugged Galaxy S4; we don’t even know if it’ll ever make it to our region. The president of Samsung Gulf only mentioned that the water- and dust-proof Galaxy S4 is already in the works and will be announced in the coming weeks. It certainly would be interesting to see the fragile-looking S4 with a tougher exterior.
If you can’t give a hoot about toughness or not because you’re going to get a casing for it anyway, the local launch of the Galaxy S4 will be happening this Saturday. Maxis will be hosting an event at Sunway Pyramid while U Mobile will be having roadshows in different locations.
