It might be something that consumers have heard of since it is not available in Malaysia but Nike actually has a specialized service called NikeiD which enable customers to create custom colorways for selected shoe models and have the design actually made into a real shoe.
Usually, users would have to select the colors layer by layer via NikeiD’s website but the company has recently added a twist to the service by coming out with something that they dubbed as the Nike PhotoiD. Through it, users are able to use their Instagram photos to generate a selection of color combinations for their shoes. From there, users are able to share the result to their respective social networks as well as tweak it further before having Nike craft the design into an actual shoe.
The Nike PhotoiD is currently applicable for three Nike Air Max models – Air Max 1, Air Max 90 and Air Max 95 – and despite the fact that NikeiD is not available in Malaysia, you can still give it a run over at www.nike.com/photoid.
