Last week, Facebook introduced its own launcher for Android devices called Home which includes a feature call chat heads that enabled users to chat with their contacts without disturbing their activities on other apps. That feature is now available on Facebook Messenger without the need of having Facebook Home on your device, thanks to an update that has just been deployed moments ago.
In our brief experience with it, the feature works like a charm even though we are testing on an Acer Liquid C1 which is essentially an Intel Atom-based mid-range smartphone. We didn’t encounter any lag at all when we repositioned the chat heads from one point on display to another and changing from one conversation to another feels pretty seamless as well.
So, as mentioned earlier, just update your Facebook Messenger for Android and you should be ready to experience chat heads yourself.
