If you haven’t already visit the Google Play Store on your Android device yet, it’s time to do so because Google has just released a new redesign to its application store. Google has been rumored to be working on a new design for its Play Store for weeks now and starting from late last night, the internet search giant has officially rolled out the changes that is not only prettier, but is also faster than before.
We haven’t really gotten our hands on the new Play Store yet, but according to Google, the new look is a whole lot simpler and easier to browse thanks to larger images and larger touch target for users. Play Store 4.0 will group together similarly themed content and offers new recommendations as you scroll down; the checkout feature has also been simplified.
The changes have already taken effect and are currently being rolled out to your Android tablets and smartphones running on Android 2.2 and above. However, do note that because our local Play Store does not offer Music, Movies or Books, the new changes might not be as nice as we see in the pictures.
