It is only March but it seems like World of Tanks players will be able to participate in quite a number of large-scale competition this year. After Wargaming.net League was officially announced earlier this year, NVIDIA has recently come out to announce its own GeForce eSports World of Tanks Open Tournament.
Open to players from five regions throughout the world including Asia Pacific, up on the line at the tournament are NVIDIA GeForce 600-series graphics cards as well as a total prize pool of around RM 309,800 (USD 100,000) at the event’s grand finals. The champion of each region will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to participate in the grand finals.
There is one problem though: only Australia, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan are specifically mentioned on the official announcement by NVIDIA. We will be in touch with both NVIDIA and Wargaming.net to check on Malaysian players’ eligibility to participate in the event.
For the meantime, the pre-registration for the GeForce eSports World of Tanks Open Tournament has already begun but the actual registration – free of charge – will take only place starting from March 28 for two weeks. For further information, keep a close look at www.geforce.com.
