In the wonderful world of cameras, the race is all about sensor size, megapixels and who can fit more bells and whistles on their latest camera body. Canon has turned that upside down, creating a race of their own with the world’s smallest and lightest DSLR, the EOS 100D or Rebel SL1 for our folks stateside. This minuscule shooter weighs just 400g and packs an 18MP sensor, hybrid CMOS AF II system and has 80% viewfinder coverage (your pictures will have more than what you see in the viewfinder). On top of that, the 100D has the same 3inch capacitive rear touchscreen as the EOS M and a pretty decent 9 point AF system.
At this current moment we are still awaiting the local price and availability, but in the US, they have put the price at US$650 for the body only and US$800 with the new EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM kit lens. This is an interesting camera to look out for, check out for yourself how tiny this baby is in the gallery below!
