Ever wondered if your Samsung Galaxy S II will get the latest Android update? Well, it looks like Sammobile has gotten their hands on a pre-list about upcoming Android updates for a collection of Galaxies from the company. In case you’re still pondering on our earlier question, the answer is the update will end at Android 4.2.2, along with a list of older and lower-end Samsung Galaxy devices like the original Note, Galaxy S Advance, and even Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Grand and Galaxy Young.
As for Android 5.0, the update will only be brought to the 5 latest devices from Samsung namely the Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy S IV, Galaxy Note 8.0, Galaxy Note 10.1 and last but not least, the Galaxy Note II. Check out the complete list below:
According to Sammobile, their sources said that while many other devices will not get Android Key Lime Pie update, the company, as always, will release a value pack update instead. As always, take it with a pinch of salt, the list above has not been confirmed by Samsung (but confirmed by an insider) and since it’s a pre-list, things could change.
