Earlier this year, Google released an update to its YouTube app for Android which allows you to directly stream content from your Android device to a compatible TV using nothing except for a Wi-Fi network (yes say goodbye to your Apple TV and other media player). Today, Google released the same feature for iOS users so you can wirelessly beam videos to your television from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. If you don’t have a TV with Wi-Fi connectivity, you can also pair via your PS3 or Xbox but you’ll have to do it manually. More details available in this link.
Evernote also recently released a new update for its iOS app. Version 5.2 now comes with an updated PDF viewer that adds multi-page viewing, screen rotation lock, 2-page display with landscape mode, and the ability to perform search inside a file. iPad users will get additional goodies because making use of the bigger display, the new Evernote app allows you to view Snippets, making it simpler to search for an existing note. Finally after buying Socialcam last July, Autodesk has just released a new Socialcam app. Working with an expert professional video effects team, the new app, version 5.0 for iOS, comes with several new features including a complete redesign of visual effects, 720p HD video, HDR and a new icon for Socialcam. The app is available for download in the iTunes App Store immediately with an Android version to come next week.
