Microsoft has announced that the company will be released its Surface tablet in several new markets later this month. These new markets include Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and Taiwan for Surface RT (in addition to the 13 countries that were announced in mid-February) as well as Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand and United Kingdom for Surface Pro.
Interestingly, our Southern neighbor – Singapore – is also part of Surface RT’s new expanded market as well. However, no actual pricing and release date was mentioned.
While it is a welcoming sign that Microsoft Surface is finally on its way to this side of the planet but just like numerous Microsoft products before it such as Xbox 360, Malaysia is not part of the picture once again. At least, for now.
We do hope to see – both in RT and Pro form – to be released officially in Malaysia even though it has been months since the tablet made its official debut. You know what they say…better late than never.
