While Apple‘s Mac is not exactly a common choice among gamers, it seems that the platform is still very much on EA’s radar as the company has recently released a Mac client for its digital distribution platform – Origin. The new client enables Mac-based gamers to utilized features that already available on Origin’s PC client such as the ability to upload save games to the cloud, social connectivity with fellow Origin users and access to games by EA as well as its publishing partners.
Additionally, there is also the new cross-platform support for selected EA titles that supports both PC and Mac. Through the feature, users will need to purchase such game only once and it will appear on their games library on Origin client for both PC as well as Mac.
With a minimum requirement of Intel Core 2 Duo processor and OS X 1.0.6.8, Origin for Mac is readily available for download over at www.origin.com.
