It took Nokia (and Microsoft) a while to finally deploy it to users but soon, owners of Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 7.5 smartphones such as Lumia 900, 800, 710, 610 and 510 are able to look forward to the Windows Phone 7.8 update for their devices. If you can recall, the update was introduced alongside Windows Phone 8 for the first time back in June 2012.
The Windows Phone 7.8 brings together a number of behind-the-scenes fixes to the operating system as well as several new features such as new options for the lock screen, increased language support and of course, the resizable Live Tiles on the Start screen as per those on Windows Phone 8. The update will be rolled out to users throughout February 2013 although actual availability of the update largely depends on telco operators.
Meanwhile, there are still no news about the update from other Windows Phone manufacturers such as HTC and Samsung but we believe that it should arrive to users soon enough.
