While most phone manufacturers are working on 5” Full HD smartphones, look at what Pantech decided to unveil in Korea – the Vega No. 6 that packs a huge 5.9” 1080p 30fps display on board. Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the handset also features a powerful quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor as well as a 13MP rear camera for you to make full use of its vivid and colorful display. Another notable feature is a huge 3,140mAh battery that can be charged within 2 hours.
Other features include a one-handed usability thanks to Pantech’s very own user interface – FLUX1.7 UX. We haven’t actually played with a Pantech smartphone before, but I assume it’s somewhat similar to what Samsung and LG has got to offer for their phablet lineup of devices – a keyboard and a dialer shifted to either side of the device so your thumb can easily reach all the keys. Additionally, Vega No. 6 also boasts multitasking capability with a “small window” that can run at the same time as your main application.
Price wise,Vega No. 6 will cost 850,000 won, about RM2,370. More information about the device, which is available in Korea only, over at Pantech.
