Remember MySpace, a social networking service that was so popular in the U.S. when it was launched? Back then, it was the most visited social networking site in the world, surpassing Google as the most visited website in the U.S. in June 2006. Unfortunately though, Facebook and Twitter came along and MySpace a rather large number subscribers, even popular developers such as Zynga decided to closed their operations on MySpace. Justin Timberlake then bought MySpace and on September last year, he announced that MySpace has started a closed beta testing for the “new MySpace” and today, the new MySpace is back and is available for all to see and use.
If you head on to new.myspace.com now, you can join instantly simply by connecting to your Facebook, Twitter or your old MySpace account; MySpace is enticing users to join with the new single from Justin Timberlake featuring Jay Z, just sign in and you can listen to the track for free.
So what’s new in MySpace? A brand new interface of course, it features horizontal scrolling rather than your typical up and down. You can do all your typical social networking stuffs like sharing a status update as well as pictures but what makes MySpace different is that it allows you to discover and listen to “FREE Unlimited music and videos”.
I must say, the new interface is very modern looking – simple and pretty. You can discover new music and videos or search for an artist before connecting to your favorite music and artists; the more you connect, the more you’ll discover. You can also customize your own profile with a full-screen cover photo and even pick a profile song. Check out https://new.myspace.com to see the new MySpace.
