Once in a while, we would hear some interesting tales from our friends over at LYN Anime Shrine blog and this time around, it is about their visit to the recent Comiket 83 all the way in Japan. For those who are not familiar with the fine world of Japanese anime and manga culture, Comiket or Comic Market is the world’s biggest self-published manga fair that takes place twice a year in Tokyo.
Over there, visitors would spend long hours queuing up to check out their favourite doujin groups and purchase doujins for their collection. Of course, there are cosplayers around as well. To describe how huge is the world-renowned Comiket, Linkinstreet (one of Shrine’s long time contributor who is part of the trip) pointed out that even as huge as Comic Fiesta – Malaysia’s largest anime event – might be, it would only covers 10-percent of Comiket.
