The name ARM would usually be associated to smartphones and tablets since majority of these devices are powered by ARM-based processors but a gaming keyboard? Well, the newly announced Roccat Ryos MK Pro mechanical gaming keyboard has not only one but two such processors in it.
Apparently, one of the processors is solely in-charge of Roccat Ryos MK Pro’s per-key illumination function which can be customized by users themselves using the provided software development kit. In other words, users can program the Ryos MK’s keys to illuminate in any way they like – whether to make the keys blink in certain patterns or to make them reflect the health status of in-game characters
How about the other processor then? Well, it handles the rest of the keyboard’s day-to-day function which should ensure lag-free gaming, according to Roccat. Additionally, the keyboard also features built-in 2MB flash storage for users to save their custom settings. Users can also choose to equip the keyboard from four types of Cherry MX key switches.
No word on its official pricing and actual release date for the time being but Roccat is planning to release it sometime in the first quarter of this year.
