Wish to send a quick message to your friend but do not wish to go through all the effort to type? Facebook recently updated its Messenger app for iOS and Android that allows you to send voice messages with just a tap of a button, and have it delivered instantly to the other side.
Available immediately on the App Store or Google’s Play Store immediately, once installed, all you have to do if you wish to send a voice message, is click on the “+” button and select the “Record Voice” option. To record, tap and hold the record button, once you release your finger, the message will be saved and sent. To cancel the message, simply swipe your finger away from the button and release it.
I’m not quite sure just how useful sending voice messages could be, I’ve always been someone that prefers text. But I must say, this definitely can come in handy if you wish to send a message in a dialect you can’t write in, I can’t write Chinese and what easier way to send a message over than with voice? You can record messages up to a minute long each time. Of course, there are other alternatives that allows you to send voice messages and even make VoIP calls, just so you know, Facebook is also working on VoIP calling feature and is already testing it in Canada.
