Remember when Apple announced iOS in the Car back in WWDC 2013? Well, it looks like Google might have something similar to offer too, says the WSJ. The Wall Street Journal has recently reported that Google and Audi will announce an in-car entertainment system powered by none other than Android.
According to WSJ, the plans won’t stop with Audi and Google is also working with NVIDIA and other automotive and tech companies to bring their dream into reality. The Android in-car systems will come complete with music, navigation and all the usual apps and services you will find on Audi. Of course, this is not the first time Google is working with car manufacturers, the company is already providing Google Maps data and navigation to Audi, Toyota and Telsa Motors.
As for things with Apple, the Cupertino company is already working with car manufacturers like BMW and Honda; Honda has already started releasing cars with Siri and iOS integration. Are you excited about having “smart” cars in the near future?
