It looks like the year 2014 will be very much focused on wearable computing, according to the latest rumors, Samsung will be making a new kind of wearable tech called Galaxy Band that, unlike the rather disappointing Galaxy Gear, is a fitness tracker that is very much similar to Jawbone UP and Nike’s FuelBand. According to Digital News Daily, a Korean website, the Galaxy Band will feature sensors and such to detect motion, pressure and humidity, and will be tied up with the company’s very own S Health app found on some of the latest Samsung devices.
LG on the other hand has also been reported to be working on two wearable tech products called the LG G Arch and LG G Health, the G Health of which, as its name suggest, would be a similar fitness and health tracking device too. The report was posted on multiple Korean websites, which also unveiled that the next LG flagship smartphone, the G3, will also come with a fingerprint sensor.
Information about these gadgets are scarce at the moment but according to all the rumors, these devices should be unveiled in the upcoming MWC 2014 that will be happening in February next year. Are you looking forward to what these companies have got to offer, or will you rather turn to companies like Nike for fitness tracking devices?
