Well, the future is nearer than you think, Grippity recently announced the “world’s first” transparent tablet and is available for purchase in KickStarter from as low as USD$159.
Powered by none other than Android operating system, the 7” tablet has a transparent dual-sided multi-touch display. Don’t be deceived by that rather horrible looking grip surrounding the tablet, it’s designed in a way that makes it comfortable for you to use in whatever position you are at – standing up, sitting down or even lying down on your bed, you will be able to use all ten fingers to interact with the display, while keeping your palms at a neutral ergonomic posture.
Other specs include semi-transparent 7” LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480. Upper 25% non-transparent for thumbs input. Back sided capacitive multi-touch panel, front sided multi-touch panel with extended programmable touch area, Android 4.2 upgradable to Android 4.4, ARM Cortex A8 512k RAM, IR transmitter to control TV, SD card slot, 4GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
