The day all U Mobile subscribers have been waiting for is finally here, the telco has just officially announced its 4G LTE service for almost all of its prepaid, postpaid and broadband plan subscribers. Starting today, all new and existing users will be able to leverage on the telco’s high speed 4G LTE mobile internet with speeds of up to 75Mbps.
For the start, U Mobile will be offering 4G LTE to users in several strategic areas within the Klang Valley namely Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, Buchong and Berjaya Times Square, as well as Taman Molek in Johor Bahru. To enjoy 4G LTE on your LTE-enabled devices, all you need to do is activate it by sending an SMS “LTE ON” to 28118. U Mobile 4G LTE is available for existing and new customers who subscribe to one of its existing plans:
- Prepaid – UMI 38 and UMI 48
- Postpaid – U58, U88, E58, E88, UD68, UD98, UD158, U Premium, U Platinum and Internet Share Plan 68
- Broadband Plans – MB40, MB68, and MB128 for prepaid and postpaid plans
- Booster Plans – Prepaid Booster 1GB and Prepaid Booster 1.5GB
U Mobile will be using the 2,600MHz spectrum awarded by the MCMC.
In conjunction with the 4G LTE launch, U Mobile will be offering attractive promotional LTE device bundle-plans starting from 17 December 2013 to 31 January 2014. Customers can take home a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 at a price of RM999 when they sign up for the Ultimate Device 158 plan with a commitment fee of RM120/month.
