One of the year’s top Android smartphones has been given the luxury treatment. Well, it was already given a third-party 18-carat gold treatment, but now HTC has released a new gold colourway for its flagship smartphone, the HTC One.
Following in the footsteps of Apple’s champagne gold iPhone 5s, as well as the gold Samsung Galaxy S4 (which was only available in the Middle East), HTC has introduced a new gold HTC One in Europe. It will retail for €625 ($845) and will be available from December 12 in Finland, though it is as yet unclear whether this will be available outside Europe.
Besides the new colourway, nothing has been changed on the hardware front. HTC has retained the sexy aluminium unibody, as well as the Snapdragon 600 chipset, 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 Full HD display and the 4MP UltraPixel camera sensor that continues to split opinion.
