Today, HTC launched its first Phablet here in Malaysia, the HTC One Max and just like what was speculated, it will retail for RM2,499. The rather luxurious price is for the 16GB version of the device and HTC have said that there are no plans to bring in the 32GB version of the device. Disappointingly, HTC have also confirmed that the battery cover will be a separate purchase with no plans of bundling them and will retail for “about RM300”. Unfortunately, the cover will not be available now, rather at a later date.
We can’t say we are happy with this price nor with the fact that its not bundled with one of the most interesting things about the device. In fact, the Lumia 1020, at RM2,499 is probably a better buy with the camera grip bundled in.
