At Nokia World 2013, the Finnish company unveiled several new imaging innovations, including the Nokia Refocus app, which produces a Lytro-like effect which allows images to focus on different areas of the image after it has been shot. The magic behind the app is that the software actually captures between two to eight images in quick succession, in various focus points to recreate the Lytro effect.
The good news is, the app is now available at the Windows Phone Store. The bad news is, as Nokia previously mentioned, the Refocus app is only available for the company’s PureView-branded Lumia smartphones: the Lumia 920, 925 and the Lumia 1020. It will also be supported on the upcoming Lumia 1520 when it is eventually released later this year. On top of that, Nokia has also made sharing the image (and its refocusing abilities) seamless onto Facebook.
