According to several reports online, NVIDIA apparently have announced that they are going to reduce the pricing for some of their top range graphics cards – namely, the GeForce GTX 780 and GTX 770. While the company didn’t mentioned any reasons behind the price cuts (why would they), many observers including yours truly believed that this latest move by the company might be the reaction to the recent launch of AMD Radeon R9 series.
As stated by the reports, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 price will go down from USD 649 (RM 2035) to USD 499 (RM 1564) which as you can see, is a massive cut of USD 150 (RM 470) from the original price. At the same time, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770’s price will be reduced from USD 399 (RM 1251) to USD 329 (RM 1031).
Furthermore, these new prices will be effective starting from 29 October at least in the US market. In addition to that, each purchase will include three free games – Batman: Arkham Origins, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
While I personally not able to confirm whether this announcement will actually affect the existing price for both cards in Malaysia or otherwise but nevertheless, I do believe that their prices will go down very soon in one way or another. So, you might want to monitor the price list of your favourite IT retailers if you have been aiming at either one of these graphics cards.
