Fans of Firefox OS for smartphone rejoice, it looks like LG has jumped into the Firefox phone bandwagon with the announcement of its first Mozilla-powered handset, the Fireweb. Like the rest of the Firefox OS devices, the Fireweb packs some basic specs under its 4” hood.
The Fireweb comes with a display resolution of 480 x 320 and is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor with 2GB of expandable storage. It has a 5MP rear camera on board and is the first FireFox OS device that is equipped with autofocus and LED flash on board. However price wise, the Fireweb is a little more expensive than its competitors with a price of approximately USD$207, more expensive than the company’s cheapest Android device of USD$184 (Optimus L3 II).
