October is definitely an interesting month this year, Nokia World and an Apple event will both be happening on 22 October 2013 and it looks like Android 4.4 Kit Kat and possibly a Nexus 5 are just around the corner too. Earlier last night, Android Kit Kat’s Google+ account posted a dancing robot with the tag “Everybody dance now! #AndroidKITKAT”. Some comments noted that the song “Everybody Dance Now” was released on 18 October 1990 with a video that is about 4 minutes and 4 seconds long, hinting that we might see Android 4.4 as early as this Friday, 18 October 2013.
However, according to another teaser posted in the official Kit Kat Twitter account reading “Sometimes you have to look for the signs…” along with an image with the text “This is it”, it looks like 28 October 2013 is the date we should look forward to. “Everybody dance now!” is a reference to a song named “Gonna Make You Sweat” performed by the C+C Music Factory Band; the original name of the band is “The 28th Street Crew”. As for the “This is it” reference, the name is a name in a movie dedicated to Michael Jackson that was released on 28 October as well, coincidence? Maybe not.
Anyhow, just a couple of weeks more to go before we see the next big things in the market for Nokia, Apple and Android fans.
