Let’s get this fact out first: this is not the first Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 in Malaysia. Prior to the 10.1-inch model, the Korean giant have actually released the Galaxy Tab 3 in 7-inch and 8-inch form factors. However, the 10.1-inch version is rather interesting though as it is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor instead of the ARM-based processor as per its smaller siblings.
Previously codenamed as Clover Trail+, the Intel Atom Z2560 system-on-chip features a dual-core HyperThreading-enabled CPU that runs at 1.6GHz. At the same time, the processor is also equipped with a dual-core PowerVR SGX 544M2 GPU with a clock speed of 400MHz.
Samsung have also included an Intel XMM 7160 4G modem in order to enable LTE connectivity on the Galaxy Tab 10.1. With a thickness of 7.95mm, the 512 grams tablet also features a 1280×800 149ppi TFT display, 1GB of RAM and 16GB worth of internal storage. There is also a 3.15-megapixels camera on its back together with a 1.3-megapixels front camera.
