Update: ASUS Malaysia has confirmed that the prices for the Nexus 7 tablet listed in its Product Guide are indeed the final prices. The WiFi-only 16GB version will retail at RM999, while the 32GB LTE variant will be sold at RM1299.
Looks like ASUS Malaysia is finally ready to bring in the refreshed Google Nexus 7 to Malaysia. At a recent launch event in August, ASUS Malaysia Country Product Manager for Tablets, Li Huai Pin confirmed that the 2013 Nexus 7 would be available “in mid-September“. The company appears to be ready to honour its promises, as the new Nexus 7 has been listed on its latest product guide released yesterday.
In the product guide, the new Nexus 7 – which was also spotted at the same launch event last month – will be priced at RM999 for the 16GB WiFi-only version, and RM1299 for the 32GB LTE + WiFi variant. However, Amanz.my also reports that an ASUS Malaysia rep stressed that the prices are not yet finalized, and may change when it is officially launched soon.
How soon? For now, we’re not able to confirm just yet. We have reached out to ASUS Malaysia for a comment, and will update the post when we receive a reply.
