iOS 7 is the biggest overhaul iOS has seen thus far and while it has its own fair share of haters and fanboys, no one can deny that Apple users around the world are waiting on this update with baited breath. The iOS 7 beta program has been going on for a while now and lots of Apple users are getting a taste of what the final version will be like. Apple finally announced today that come September 18th, we won’t have to deal with buggy code and strange phone behaviour anymore as iOS 7 hits prime time.
Announced today at the Apple 5S and 5C event, Apple also showed minor tweaks like new ringtones and a male Siri voice as well as the fact that iOS 7 has been optimized to run 64bit on the new iPhone 5S and A7 processor. On top of that, Apple has made the whole iWork suite for iOS free for new devices.
The iOS 7 update will be available for the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad mini, the third- and fourth-generation iPads, and fifth-generation iPod touch from the get go.
