Here are more news leading up to the IFA 2013 which will start on 6 September 2013, Lenovo just announced several new Thinner ThinkPad Ultrabooks – the ThinkPad T, X and S Series. First up, the company announced two new T series ThinkPad Ultrabooks – the refreshed T440s and the T440. The T440s is a successor to the T431s that features a new modern design such as buttonless trackpad, latchless lid, 180-degree hinge and such, and is powered by the latest Intel Haswell processors along with an optional NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M GPU. Specs wise, the T440s has optional touch display, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to either a 1TB HDD or a 512GB SSD. The T440 as its name suggest, has pretty much the same stuffs to offer except that it packs a lower screen resolution of only 1,600 x 900 whereas the T440s can go up to 1080p, and weighs slightly lighter than the T440.
The ThinkPad X240 is now refreshed with the same new modern design, featuring a similar buttonless trackpad, latchless lid and a drop hinge that can be folded 180-degrees. Designed for business and extreme portability, it weighs less than 1.4kgand measures at only 20.3mm thin. Powered by Intel Haswell processors, users can opt up to 1TB of HDD storage, optional 12.5” touch display.
Finally, the ThinkPad S330 and S540 are both mid-range Ultrabooks from Lenovo, featuring premium look and feel with beveled edges and an ultra-thin bezel, allowing a larger display in a smaller form factor. They are powered by the latest 4th generation Intel Core processors, with different hardware to offer under their hood. The S440 features a lower resolution display at 1,600 x 900, up to 8GB of RAM, 500GB of HDD and has a battery that is rated for six hours of performance. The S550 on the other hand, has a Full HD display, up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB of HDD and 9 hours battery life.
