Announcing new products ahead of a major trade show is nothing new and what LG did earlier today is yet another perfect example of such move. Ahead of the upcoming IFA 2013, the Korean company have announced the brand new LG G Pad 8.3 that will indeed make its debut at the long-running trade show.
As the name implies, the LG G Pad 8.3 is an Android 4.2 tablet that is equipped with a huge 8.3-inch display that also outputs at equally huge 1920×1200 resolution . With a thickness of 8.3mm, the 338 grams tablet also comes together with a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.
While the hardware selection that we mentioned above seem to be very good (at least on paper), the tablet’s photography capabilities don’t seem to be on the equal level though with the selection of 5-megapixels sensor on the back and 1.3-megapixels on the front. To complete the G Pad 8.3’s hardware package, LG have also equipped the huge tablet with a 4600mAh battery.
The new LG G Pad 8.3 tablet also features an app called QPair which allows users to check out calls and messages that arrived on their Android smartphones or tablets (regardless of the manufacturer) using the G Pad. Users are also able to send simple replies using the tablet and save notes created on the G Pro 8.3’s QMemo app into their smartphones via the QPair app.
While the company have stated that the new LG G Pad 8.3 tablet will released throughout the world sometime in fourth quarter of this year, the price of the tablet will only be announced when the tablet is ready for launch. Well, expect to see the tablet in full flesh as well as other LG’s new products once IFA 2013 takes place in just few days time.
