As reported earlier this month, HP has launched an array of Android powered devices, complete with a full 21-in All-in-One desktop. Both the Slatebook x2 and Slate 7 have been on the HP online store since a couple of weeks ago, while the Slate 21 AiO will be available next month.
An Android powered desktop is a bit of a novelty, especially since it appears to be set up like a massive tablet. Literally. The internals wouldn’t be out of place in a story about some much smaller and more portable. See if it looks familiar with a Tegra 4 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of eMMC flash memory.
Why this wasn’t just built with Chrome OS is a mystery, as is the 2-point touch display. On the other hand, it looks good and is great for the casual user. All it really needs now is a good word processor.
The Slate 21 will retail for RM 1,099 in September. The Slate 7 has an RRP of RM499 while the Slatebook X2 is at RM 1,499.
