A blurry image posted by a new member on the popular xda-developers forum revealed what appears to be a very tiny Sony device. Given the recent rumours surrounding a purported “Honami Mini” which may be announced soon, the picture naturally was pegged as a leaked image of the Honami Mini.
In addition, the device may be unveiled as early as September 4, if the forum member is to be believed. Including the image, the forum post – titled “Shhh, you didn’t see this…” also contained the following:
“You didn’t see this from me… but 4th of Sep is gonna be exciting! Thats all I’m saying!”
Of course, the whole post sounds rather…sensationalized, but it nonetheless got the community a little intrigued. Another forum member analysed the picture in terms of the scale by pixels, and concluded that the maximum screen size the pictured device can have is 4 inches – which goes against the earlier rumour that the Honami mini may sport a 4.3-inch screen.
If so, the 4-inch screen definitely harks back to one of Sony’s more iconic devices in recent years, the Xperia Ray, which featured a 3.3-inch display. Then again, this leaked image may also show an entirely different, mid-range device and disappoint us all.
