You know how sometimes when you log into an app on Facebook, it will ask for permission to post onto your wall on your behalf and if you grant them because you have no other choice but to, the app will post things on your wall showing what you’re doing – the lame contest you joined or the fact that you’re playing Candy Crush at work? Yes, it’s annoying. Facebook just announced a new Facebook Login update that prevent apps from spamming people.
Now, in order for an app to post onto your wall or onto your friend’s wall because you passed them on a game, the app will need to ask for permission first. Sure, it’ll be annoying to have to keep disapproving them from spamming your wall, but it’s definitely better than removing them one by one later.
The new login feature also makes it faster for you to approve apps – 31% faster on mobile according to Facebook, so you can quickly and easily connect with your favorite apps. Find out more about the new feature on Facebook.
