Apart from rolling out new interface and privacy changes every now and then, acquiring new companies and such, what else is the team behind Facebook working on? According to reports, the social network service is now testing a VIP-Only app, giving celebrities better control of their fan page and be better connected to their fans.
According to AllThingsD, Facebook has already rolled out the app to some of their most famous users and will launch it to a larger audience in the near future. Not much have been mentioned rearding the app, but according to words on the internet, the app will be similar with Twitter’s “mentions” tab, giving page owners a place to see where they have been mentioned on and even interact with fans.
It’s not official though, Facebook only told AllThingsD that they are testing on a new feature:
“We are currently testing some mobile features designed to help public figures interact with their fans. We are testing these features with a small group of partners and will share more details should we roll it out more widely.”
