Despite mulling over abandoning its mobile division, it appears BlackBerry isn’t ready to throw in the towel just yet. The company is rumoured to be working on a new BB10 smartphone that will reportedly be called the Z30. Previously codenamed the A10, the Z30 will be larger than this year’s Z10 smartphone.
Cellphone S managed to snag a prototype device of the Z30, and promptly proceeded to upload the hands-on video above. The upcoming Z30 is rumoured to sport a larger 5-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. It will also be powered by a similar Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor as the Z10. The Z30 is also rumoured to run on the new BlackBerry 10.2 OS, and even sports an AT&T logo at the Q10-like back – suggesting that the device may arrive in the US before other countries.
It is also likely that the device is nowhere near its launch date, given the lack of info regarding its potential availability. Our bets are that it will make its way here by the end of the year, though.
