When Sony announced the original Cyber-shot RX100 last year, it was an amazing device that packs amazing stuffs into the frame of a compact camera, and this year, Sony is back again with something even better – the Cyber-shot RX100 II that enhances the RX100 with better picture quality and convenient new features.
The latest 20.2MP camera from Sony features the newly developed back-illuminated Exmor R 1.0-type CMOS sensor for the clearest pictures in low light condition. Together with the exceptional f1.8 Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens, it can churn out exceptionally crisp, natural stills and Full HD video in any situation.
What is a high-end camera without a collection of accessories for a better performance? The RX100 II comes with a new Multi Interface Shoe and Multi Terminal for camera enthusiasts to further expand their photographic capabilities. The accessories included an electronic viewfinder, powerful external flash and stereo microphone while the Multi Terminal also allows the addition of other options such as shutter-release remote controller.
Other features include Wi-Fi connectivity on board for easy sharing, NFC to allow for one-touch smartphone sharing, 3.0-type White Magic LCD that tilts up or down, Full HD 24p/25/ movie for rich, cinematic video footage, and of course, it also packs TRILUMINOS display (found on Sony Bravia televisions) for richer and more natural colors.
The camera is scheduled to hit the Malaysian market from September 2013. Hit the break for the full specification sheet.
