If all the word processing apps and services out there are not enough for you, here’s one more called Quip, a word processing app that is specially developed for mobile users. Developed by the ex-CTO of Facebook, Bret Taylor, together with Kevin Gibbs, the former technical lead on the Google App Engine team, the app is compatible with an iPhone or an iPad and of course, on desktop (coming soon for Android).
It is more than just a word processing app though, it also comes with a whole list of features such as real-time collaborative editing, integrated messaging, @mentions, interactive chat lists and many more. Multiple users are allowed to edit a document at a single time and each document also comes with a chat-like thread for collaborators to communication and monitor all the changes in a single screen. Since it’s developed specially for mobile users, the app is able to adjust itself based on the device you’re using – “no more pinch zooming just to read a document”.
Visit Quip for more information about the app or download it now from the App Store for free.
