In general, some might say that the Nokia Lumia 925 is just a slimmer version of Lumia 920. Well, there are some truth in that indeed. For example, both Lumia 925 and 920 are powered by the same 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 chipset which is also accompanied by 1GB of RAM.
The Lumia 925 also features the 8.7-megapixels PureView camera with optical image stabilization capability and dual LED flash alongside a 1.2-megapixels front facing camera which again, so does Lumia 920. Not to forget, both devices are also equipped with 4.5 inch 1280×768 display and 2000mAh battery.
That being said, there are enough differences to set them apart especially when it comes to their physical appearances and several apps. As starters, the new Lumia 925 exterior is a combination of aluminium frame and polycarbonate shell with an overall thickness of 8.5mm. Weighting at around 139g. It also utilizes an AMOLED display that is covered by Gorilla Glass 2 and seems to have more vibrant output than the Lumia 920’s IPS display.

Nokia has also included a 6-elements Carl Zeiss Tessar lens into Lumia 925’s PureView camera as compared to Lumia 920’s 5-elements lens. However, Nokia somehow decided to include less storage space into Lumia 925 at 16GB which half of what Lumia 920 has at 32GB. Since Lumia 925 is the first ever device to feature the Lumia Amber update which will only be released to other Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices later this year, it comes with several functionality that are only available with Lumia Amber update such as Glance Screen and Nokia Smart Camera app.
Available in white, grey, and black, the new Nokia Lumia 925 will be released into the market with a price tag of RM 1799 starting with Klang Valley in early August before making its way to the rest of country by mid-August.
