Looks like HTC is going the Samsung path with its promotion of the “One” branding. Similar to the Galaxy S4 family of devices, HTC may be adding not just a little brother to the HTC One, but a larger sibling as well. It’s the second time that the One Max name has been leaked, after a collection of HTC devices were leaked.
The Taiwanese company has long been rumoured to launch a “mini” variant to the sleek HTC One smartphone, with images of the device leaking multiple times. What the company lacks, it appears is a larger, phablet sized entry to directly compete with the increasingly saturated phablet market.
Not anymore, if the latest round of rumours are to be believed. And the HTC One Max, as the rumour mills are calling it, is set to enter the phablet market with a bang. Sporting an extra powerful 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM to render the 6-inch 1080p display, the HTC One Max is also rumoured to pack a digitizer stylus together with a larger 3200mAh battery and 32 or 64GB 0f storage.
Finally, the HTC One Max is speculated for a release sometime in September – around the same time as the expected launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note III.
