Holding off your urge to buy an iPad mini because you’re waiting for the second generation whereby it’s rumored to feature a Retina display? It looks like you’re in for a disappointment then because according to reports, the mini tablet from Apple will be delayed to early 2014. According to a Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, the initial launch was scheduled for Q4 2013, just in time for the holidays, but because of the shortage of Retina display panels, the plans had to be delayed.
Rumors about the iPad mini have been pretty inconsistent as to whether or not Apple will be using Retina display for the second-generation iPad mini. It is also believed that Apple will release a cheaper non-Retina display version as well, which will be launched at the same time. The Retina version is rumored to come with a display resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, a dual-core A6X processor and an 8MP rear camera.
