During the launch of the new Nokia Lumia 1020, it was also announced that several new apps will be making its way to the Windows Phone 8 platform. Chief among them is Vine, the short social video recording app from Twitter, and Flipboard, the slick social magazine app. While Android and iOS users have been enjoying these apps for quite some time now, the addition of these apps to the WP8 ecosystem is certainly another step in the right path for what is arguably the third largest ecosystem in the industry.
In addition, Hipstamatic Oggl, the social image sharing app that publishes to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, will be coming to Windows Phone 8 exclusively on the new Lumia 1020. These new apps will also be making use of the new Nokia Lumia 1020 Imaging SDK, allowing developers to add their own camera customizations and tweaks, such as sharing high-res images on social networks.
