It looks like the rumors are true after all, Apple will indeed be hosting an event on 22 October 2013 and according to the official media invitation, they might be showing off more than some spanking new iPads (5th Generation iPad and 2nd Generation iPad mini) because they still have “a lot to cover”.
Apple is expected to show off a new version of Apple TV, give some focus on the new OS X Mavericks, refresh its MacBook Pros that comes with faster chipsets, as well as introduce the new Mac Pro that was announced earlier this year. As for the new iPads, as far as rumor goes, the 5th generation iPad will feature a similar design with the iPad mini, making it a whole lot slimmer and thinner, while retaining the same screen size. iPad mini on the other hand will be refreshed with a Retina display but it is unsure when the devices will hit the shelves because the iPad mini 2 has been rumored to be delayed because of some production problems with its Retina display.
The event will take place at 10am in San Francisco, California; that’s about 1am our time. Nokia World will also be held on the same date at 11am Abu Dhabi time, that’s about 7am local time, are you going to stay up to see what these companies will announce?
