Image is of a rendered LG G2
Remember that whole flexible / curved smartphone displays that went a little crazy during CES? Samsung showed off a curved OLED phone, Sharp also had its own version to show off and it looks like LG will not be missing out on the fun, after all, they do have a curved OLED 3D TV. LG recently told ZDNet that the company is working on a curved display smartphone.
To be called the LG Z, the device will feature a 6” display and it will look somewhat similar to its curved television with a concave shape. The phone is said to be in production already and should be ready to meet the world later this month, possibly around the same time as Samsung will debut its curved Galaxy Note 3.
Anyone here fancy a smartphone with a curved display? I must admit, I’m pretty intrigued by what Samsung showed off at CES, and if these manufacturers can develop additional software that puts the new design to good use, it’ll definitely be something great to look forward to.
