The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is only hitting retail outlets starting from today across the world, but rumours are already circulating that Samsung are working on a limited edition Galaxy Note 3 variant…with a curved display.
Yup, the Youm display technology, first shown at CES 2013, looks like its ready for the prime time. Youm is the name of the company’s new flexible OLED displays. And, because they’re not made of glass, the Youm displays are a lot more durable while the OLED technology ensures stunning picture quality.

The Verge notes that some Samsung executives stated that the company plans to introduce a “introduce a curved display smartphone in October,” while not giving any specifics. CNET also states that the device may be called the Galaxy Note 3 Active and have a waterproof chassis like the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, and may be a limited edition device.
Curved displays or not, looks like we don’t have long to wait before we find out.
