While it has been confirmed that Samsung Malaysia will be launching the Galaxy Note 3 on the 25th of September, questions still remain on which variants the company will be bringing to Malaysia. Earlier this year, Samsung brought both the 3G and LTE variants of its flagship Galaxy S4 to Malaysia, with the 3G option coming in first.
Initial rumours indicated that it will be the same in the case of the Galaxy Note 3, where both variants will be coming in. However, a Samsung Malaysia executive has confirmed that Malaysia will only receive the 4G LTE variant of the Note 3, meaning that the Exynos-powered 3G variant will not be making its debut here.
Interestingly, DiGi seems to be the only local telco so far to have opened a Registration of Interest (ROI) as well as announcing a pre-order date for the Galaxy Note 3. Could it mean that DiGi are finally ready to roll out its long-awaited LTE network?
