Well what do you know, just a week after releasing iOS 7 beta 5 to developers, it looks like Apple has a new update again. Available via OTA update for those who are running on iOS 7 now, it’s only a small update that comes with some bug fixes and improvements. According to 9to5Mac, the focus of this update is to address the bug found on iTunes in the Cloud.
If you’re one of those who were having iTunes in the Cloud problems since the last update, here’s what you need to do:
This update addresses an issue with iTunes in the Cloud, where some purchases may download or play unexpected items. If you have any devices running previous versions of iOS 7 beta, you must:
1. Install iOS 7 beta 6
2. Install the ResetMusicAndVideosLibraries configuration profile
3. From Settings > Music, tap the Reset Media Library button
4. Restart the device
It may be a small update, but any update is welcomed at this point. August is coming to an end and the rumored announcement date for new Apple devices is in September and this update just brings us an inch closer to the Golden Master version. I must say, since the beta 5 update, iOS 7 is a whole lot more stable and crashed a lot less. In fact, I don’t think I encountered any apps crashing in the entire week of using it.
